My Favourite Venue

Danny and Hailey wanted a church ceremony and chose their local church St Andrews at Fairlight, on the outskirts of Hastings East Sussex. Built in 1845 it has a magnificent 82 foot tower giving views over the fire hills to Hastings.

Hailey asked me to record all the small details before the wedding, and I was delighted to see the pre-wedding photograph I had taken a few days before, hanging in pride of place over the bed.

After looking at many venues for their wedding reception they chose my favourite venue in the south, the Powdermills Hotel in Battle. The hotel hosts weddings throughout the year and their wedding co-ordinator ensures the events always run like clockwork, without fuss or pressure, giving me plenty of time to capture all those special moments.

Herstmonceux Castle

Daniel and Laura picked Herstmonceux Castle for their wedding after falling in love with its beautiful Elizabethan gardens. Built originally as a country home in the mid- 15th - century, Herstmonceux Castle embodies the history of Medieval England and the romance of Renaissance Europe.

Laura’s mums house before the ceremony was the height of calm, no worrying about the time or the weather. This gave me the time to capture some memorable black and white images.
